Selena Gomez Is Doing St. Patrick’s Day Nails With an Olive Twist

Nail artist Tom Bachik shared exactly which shade he used.

Contrary to the belief of those who are eager to pinch people today, it is not necessary to wear head-to-toe green on St. Patrick's Day. It's not necessary to wear even a splash of kelly green if that's not your thing. And from the looks of it, it's not Selena Gomez's thing. It seems the multihyphenate is celebrating the Irish observance subtly: with a manicure that's more martini than green Guinness.

While some may opt for nail art decked out in shamrocks and viridescent glitter, Gomez turned to nail artist Tom Bachik for a more understated green manicure. He posted a shot of his work to Instagram with the caption “Green Queen @selenagomez Happy St. Patrick’s Day.” But instead of what you might expect from a St. Patrick's Day mani, Gomez has gone with a gorgeous shade of olive green.

Specifically, Bachik tells Allure, it's CND Shellac Gel Polish in the shade Olive Grove. Not a gel polish person? CND also makes Olive Grove in its Vinylux Long Wear Polish formula.

Such a pretty departure from the usual St. Patty's shades, right? Not that Selena Gomez doesn't love other green hues for her manicures. Bachik has given her several verdant manis in recent years. And if you want to skip the shade altogether, look for inspiration from Gomez's pastel skittle nails or ’70s wallpaper nails

Oh—and just a reminder: Please don't pinch people without their consent today (or any day). And if you do get the okay to pinch, at least make sure your pinching fingers look as prettily polished as Gomez's.
