Kylie Jenner Is Keeping the Sheer Trend Alive With Latest Micro Minidress

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

With the sudden rise of the no-pants look and Disney-villain-core, it's easy to forget the grip sheer dresses have had on celebrity style in 2022 and 2023. Kylie Jenner hasn't.

For her latest party look, Jenner took a more wearable approach to her sister Kendall's one-legged bodysuit, opting for a sheer mesh and satin minidress that does double duty as a low-rise skirt and bra top. You see, half the look is (almost) completely covered by a rich, luxurious satin panel, while the other half leaves a lot less to the imagination.

Joined by mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian for twin actors Malika and Khadijah Haqq's 40th-birthday party on March 10, the 25-year-old hit up The Nice Guy in Los Angeles wearing the LBD with sheer black tights, simple pointed-toe heels, and a Matrix-inspired black leather coat.

Once inside, Kylie Jenner removed her outerwear, making sure to capture the full effect of the dress on Instagram Stories.

Sometimes a little black dress can pack a powerful punch, as Anne Hathaway proved at Versace’s fall-winter 2023 show in Los Angeles on March 9. Hathaway continued her red-carpet domination in a crocodile-embossed Versace minidress, which she paired with sheer black tights, platform combat boots, and Bulgari jewelry. To send the look into the next galaxy, she topped off the look with a futuristic clear French manicure that nail artist Tom Bachik dubbed “alien nails.”

Meanwhile, Florence Pugh recently turned heads in a completely see-through Valentino skirt worn over a white thong for the fashion house's show at Paris Fashion Week. Consider Kylie Jenner's latest look the best of both worlds—and proof the sheer trend isn't going anywhere.
