It simply must be spring because Emily Ratajkowski just debuted a fresh cut on the cover of Pop magazine. Lensed by photographer Vito Fernicola for the spring-summer 2023 issue, the stripped-back shoot finds the model and author in bed sporting a tousled pixie cut, full brows, and a series of ensembles that blur the line between ballet-core and underwear as outerwear with gauzy knits and form-fitting lace in an array of pastel and neutral hues.

We’ve seen Ratajkowski experiment with dramatic hair transformations before. In 2018 she almost graced the Met Gala red carpet in a short wig with baby bangs before ultimately deciding to ditch the hair piece in favor of a wavy, romantic updo created by hair stylist Jennifer Yepez. Last year she wore clip-in French-girl bangs to the Cannes Film Festival. And only a few weeks ago, Ratajkowski took the Studio 54–inspired disco-curl trend for a spin at an event to celebrate Viktor and Rolf’s Flowerbomb fragrance—of which she is now the face—in New York.

But in Emily Ratajkowski’s world, change is the only constant. So don’t be surprised if she gets bored with the temporary tweaks and decides to take a pair of kitchen scissors to her signature brunette locks. It wouldn’t be the first time she’s given herself an impromptu at-home hair cut.
